WaypointPrivacy Policy
Waypoint keeps your trips on our servers so they sync between your devices and the people you plan with, and caches a copy on your phone. We use your data only to run the app.
What the app handles
- Account: your email and username, to sign in to Waypoint. The session is stored in the device keychain.
- Trip content: trips, places, bookings, costs, lists, files and chat are stored on our servers, with a copy cached on the device for offline use.
- Location: used to show where you are on the map. When you search for a place, the map's current centre is sent to our servers to rank nearby results; the app never records or uploads your location in the background.
- Photos and files: only the ones you choose to upload are sent to our servers.
AI assistant
The assistant is off until you add a key under Me › AI provider. Then your messages, and the trip data the assistant reads, are sent to the provider you chose (Anthropic, OpenAI or the custom endpoint you entered), under that provider's privacy policy. The API key stays in the device keychain.
What we don't do
- No tracking, no ads, no third-party analytics.
- We do not sell or share your data.
Deleting your data
Signing out deletes all of that account's data from the device. Me › Account › Delete account removes your account and the trips you own from our servers.

隐私政策
Waypoint 把你的行程保存在我们的服务器上，以便在你的设备之间、以及和同行的人之间同步，并在手机上缓存一份。我们只为提供应用功能而使用你的数据。
App 处理哪些数据
- 账号：邮箱和用户名，用于登录 Waypoint。登录会话保存在设备钥匙串中。
- 行程内容：旅行、地点、预订、费用、清单、文件、聊天等保存在我们的服务器上，同时在设备上缓存一份以便离线使用。
- 位置：在地图上显示你的位置时使用。搜索地点时，地图当前的中心点会发给我们的服务器用于“附近”排序；App 不会在后台记录或上传你的位置。
- 照片与文件：只有你主动选择上传的才会发送到我们的服务器。
AI 助手
AI 助手默认关闭。只有你在“我的 › AI 提供方”里填写了密钥，App 才会把你的消息以及助手读取的行程数据发送给你选择的提供方（Anthropic、OpenAI 或你填写的自定义端点），并受该提供方的隐私政策约束。API 密钥只保存在设备钥匙串中。
我们不做的事
- 不做跟踪，不使用广告或第三方统计 SDK。
- 不出售或共享你的数据。
删除数据
退出登录会删除设备上该账号的全部本地数据。在“我的 › 账户 › 注销账号”可以删除你的账号及你拥有的旅行。
